Neal Layton is an award winning children’s author and illustrator. He is also passionate about the environment, so naturally, when his publishers asked him to write a book about plastic pollution he jumped at the chance. He started to look at plastic in a different light as he researched his work and collected his own waste. He needed more information so his next port of call was to help from ‘Plastic Free Portsmouth‘ and Just One Ocean to fill in the gaps in his knowledge. The result of all of Neal’s hard work is a superb children’s book that is getting fantastic reviews around the country.
Yesterday he ‘launched’ the book to an audience of children and families at the Round Tower in old Portsmouth. The children were enthralled (as were the adults) as he told the story, interjecting with question and answer sessions that kept everyone engaged.
We were delighted to have played a part in the writing of this book and feel honoured to have had the book dedicated to us. We look forward to working with Neal again in the future. The book is now available online and in selected book stores and we urge you to get a copy.
