We recently submitted written evidence to the Senedd Climate Change, Environment and Rural Affairs Committee at the National Assembly for Wales.  Following on from that we were asked to provide oral evidence in Cardiff.  The questions highlighted the fact that the Welsh Government understands the need to act on microplastics getting into the environment.  On our part we emphasised the requirement for behavioural and waste management changes across a wide spectrum of activities.  We also discussed the proposal for the introduction of some kind of tax or levy and our view was very much that it should be a part of wider extended producer responsibility legislation and processes.

It was an honour to be asked to provide written evidence and even more so to be called to give formal oral evidence. Good to know that other people think what you are saying is important.  To see all of the evidence provided to the CCERA committee go to Senedd TV
