This is a public event and I will be speaking about the impact of microplastics in coastal environments. The talk will be based on the research I undertook from about December 2017 to June 2018. It looks into the distribution and scale of microplastics, not only on the beaches and in the harbour, but also in the wild birds in the area. It also discusses the socio-economic impacts of microplastics.
