‘No aquarium, no tank in a marine land, however spacious it may be, can begin to duplicate the conditions of the sea. And no dolphin who inhabits one of those aquariums or one of those marine lands can be considered normal’

Jacques Yves Cousteau

For years aquariums and theme parks have held Dolphins, Orcas, even Belugas in captivity in the name of entertainment, although it is often passed off as research.  As time has passed we have realised that this is wrong and that these intelligent animals should not be kept in small tanks for our pleasure.  In spite of this knowledge many cetaceans are still in captivity and every year hundreds are captured to meet our need for ‘entertainment’.

Some of the links on this page will give you more information about the issue.  The best thing you can do to prevent this practice from continuing … DON’T GO TO MARINE PARKS.
